Calorique Radiant Floor Heaters

We are an authorized distributor for
Calorique, Ltd.

Calorique Floor Warming

Calorique's floor warming system provides even, comfortable warmth that permeates a room. With floor warming, not only are surfaces warmed and people made comfortable, but the floor is warmed to just the right amount for it to be the most pleasant to walk upon.

Conventional Heating System

Because radiant heat does not depend upon moving large volumes of air, dust and contaminants in the air and room are reduced.

Calorique's radiant floor warming systems are extremely energy efficient. Homeowners throughout the world use floor warming systems not only for their increased comfort levels, but also because they use as much as 20% less energy than other forms of heating, since all the heat energy is directed into the living space rather than heating the air along the walls.
Warm Floors Under-Floor Warming System

Installed Warming Elements

Ideal for new construction and areas where access to the floor joists is possible, the Under-Floor Warming System is attached between the floor joists with a small, 2" (5 cm) air space between the elements and the floor surface.  All panels are 12 5/8" long, all rolls are on 3' cores, nominal heating panel thickness a 19mils

  Frequently Asked Questions
How much power does the system use?
12" on center: 6 watts per panel (roughly 12.5" long)
16" on center: 10 watts per panel
24" on center: 15 watts per panel
How much does it cost to operate?
A typical 8' by 10' bathroom will cost about 2 cents per day.
(Assuming 10 cents per kilowatt hour electric cost. Your costs may vary.)
What kind of floor covering can I use?
Any standard floor covering including hardwood, tile, linoleum, brick, etc. Consult the installation manual for specific thicknesses and combinations.
Why does it have the air gap?
This spreads the heat out, making it more even, and also allows the heat to enter the room from under a couch without being trapped, which is inefficient.
Can I install the elements directly under tile?
  No.
Do I have to leave access below the elements?
  No.
Do I have to wire both ends of the elements?
  No.
Why would I want to wire from both ends?
This protects the operation of the elements. If, for example, a bus bar were severed during renovation work*, the entire element would continue to operate.**
* Always turn off power to the elements when doing renovation work to the floor or the ceiling below it.
** If a bus bar is severed, make sure that the severed ends are properly insulated before restoring power to the system.
How many amps does the system use?
The typical 8' by 10' bathroom uses less than 2 amps at 120 volts.

• All panels are 12 5/8” long, all rolls are on 3” cores, nominal heating panel thickness is 9mils
